Rackhouse Pilfer - roots'n'country @ Monroe's Live

RACKHOUSE PILFER, the stompin’, alt country, bluegrass sextet, and Hotpress/Jaegermesiert Live Band of the Year 2015, return to Galway on Friday September 11 to play Monroe's Live.

The band - Leon Mooney (guitar, harmonica, vocals ), Willie Kelly (guitar, drums, vocals ), Fiachra Cunningham (fiddle, Dobro, vocals ), Mark McGovern (banjos, vocals ), Leslie Jones (mandolin, vocals ), and Hugh Feely (double bass, vocals ) - formed in 2012 in Sligo, inspired by Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earl, Ryan Adams, and John Hiatt.

Since then, they have supported Imelda May and Paul Brady and released the acclaimed albums Back To The Country and Love and Havoc. The latter featured guitarist Harold Bradley who recorded with Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash. They have played across Ireland, in the USA, and at festivals in Europe, including at La Roche Sur Foron, widely regarded as Europe’s biggest Bluegrass Festival, where they received a standing ovation for their performance.
