In preparation for an exciting new term, Galway Baroque Singers will hold auditions for new members in Saint Patrick's Bandroom on Tuesday September 1. Vacancies exist in all sections. For further information and to arrange audition, call Joan on 087 6911460.
Following the choir's successful collaboration with Our Lady's Choral Society last November, when the choirs sang Elijah in the National Concert Hall, this season the singers will join forces once again with Our Lady's and the RTE Concert Orchestra with conductor Proinnsias O'Duinn, when they will perform two wonderful works, Mozart's Mass in C minor and Puccini's Messa di Gloria.
Rehearsals are held every Wednesday in Saint Patrick's Bandroom at 8pm, with extra rehearsals on weekends prior to concerts which will take place on Wednesday November 4 in the National Concert Hall, and in Leisureland on August 6.
Rehearsals resume for the new term next Wednesday at 8pm.
