Galway Study Centre prepares for new term after another successful year

The 2015 - 2016 programme gets under way at Galway Study Centre from September 14. Bookings have been ongoing since early June for the weekly after school and Saturday classes which the study centre offers to Leaving Cert, fifth year, and Junior Cert students. Nearly all subjects are offered with a good choice of days and times available at Leaving Cert level. Study skills classes will also commence from Wednesday September 23 and will be run once a week for four weeks.

At the core of any education establishment are the teachers who work there. Key to the study centre's success story is a group of highly motivated and experienced tutors who each year work really hard and effectively to help to get the best out of students.  Their approach is creative and provides for a really enjoyable learning experience for everyone. It is an approach that has paid off once again in terms of excellent Leaving Cert results. The school’s director, Paul Lawless, said this week he was delighted that so many have accomplished their goals and got the points required for their courses. The extra tuition which had been taken throughout the year and the classes in their own regular schools have combined to give students the knowledge, skills, and confidence to attain top examination grades.

In particular, with so much focus on the bonus points for higher level maths, he said it was especially satisfying to see Galway Study Centre students come up trumps. Approximately 80 per cent achieved a minimum grade C or higher in this the second year that all strands of Project Maths were examined.
