Corrib Canoe Courses are an action packed way to learn to kayak for adults and juniors. This year the coaches are returning top Irish international athletes who have travelled to some of the most remote places in the globe in recent years to explore and compete. Each coach has extensive knowledge of the wide range of courses that Corrib Canoe provides.
Based in Fisheries Field opposite Galway Cathedral, Corrib Canoe has been providing top level instruction for 30 years. It caters for beginners taking their first strokes in a kayak to the more experienced, who want to improve their skills with expert coaching and tuition. Half day and taster sessions are available and focus on the exploratory nature of kayaking by getting close to riverside castles and trips to discover the remote and secret lakes of the Corrib.
With beginner courses running throughout the summer there is no better time to take to the water with Corrib Canoe. Junior courses run from 10am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday, while adult courses run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm Monday to Thursday, with an optional Irish Canoe Union Level 2 Kayak Skills Assessment on the Friday. Corrib Canoe coaches are fully qualified Canoeing Ireland instructors. All the equipment needed is provided and is included in the price.
Courses are priced at €90 for the week and can be booked online at corribcanoe.com or by calling 085 2111571.
