New Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo goes on sale

The new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo has gone on sale. First revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the model will be available as both a hatchback and combi (estate ) version, and is the flagship of that range.

The Fabia Monte Carlo comes to Ireland with a choice of engines; three petrol and two diesel options. The petrol range consists of 1.0-litre 75 bhp petrol, 1.2-litre 90 bhp petrol, and 1.2-litre 110 bhp petrol, which in this version is available with the option of a seven-speed DSG automatic.

The diesel offering is a choice of a 1.4-litre TDI with 90 bhp, in manual or automatic, or a 1.4-litre TDI with 105 bhp. Skoda Ireland says that with its attractive visual appearance, sporty interior, and comprehensive equipment, the new Fabia Monte Carlo is one of the most exciting vehicles in its class.

The most important features of the new Skoda Fabia version are: black 16 or 17 inch alloy wheels, optional sports suspension, black exterior design elements, 'SunSet' tinted rear window and rear side windows, rear parking sensors, and a tinted, panoramic, glass roof.

Among other features, the interior comes with a leather three-spoke sports steering wheel, black interior, and uniquely designed sports seats. Commenting on the Fabia Monte Carlo, Raymond Leddy, head of marketing and product at Skoda Ireland, said:

“The Monte Carlo range has been very successful for us here in Ireland. We are delighted to see it offered now as a combi estate too, which we feel is a really attractive offering. This is a really striking car and the fact that it is offered in a choice of engines too makes it even more appealing to a wider audience.”
