Bill Bailey adds extra Galway date

DUE TO phenomenal demand, the great Bill Bailey has added a second date at The Black Box, Galway, to the Irish tour of his new show, Limboland.

Bill will now play The Black Box on Tuesday September 29 as well as Wednesday September 30. Limboland has been winning critical acclaim across the globe. A hit tour of Australia and New Zealand saw packed houses and the critics raving, with The Herald Sun in Melbourne describing the show as, “a solid new effort from a genuine marvel... Pretty much unmissable", and The New Zealand Herald calling it “bloody excellent... The material is solid gold".

The gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are is the subject of Limboland. With his trademark intelligence and sharp wit, he tells tales of finding himself in this halfway place. From his countless global travels, he recounts the hilarious saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. He rails against a world that doesn’t match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness. And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so we have Bill’s version of the protest song, a heart-rending country and western ballad played on a Bible, and a fabulously downbeat version of 'Happy Birthday'.

Tickets are from €30, including booking fee, and are on sale now via Ticketmaster. See also www.billbailey.co.uk
