On Sunday July 26 from 2pm to 6pm, Imelda O’Rourke Finnegan is holding a fundraiser in the g Hotel in aid of the Alan Kerins Africa Projects and Gorta Self Help Africa, called ‘Get your Gladrags at the g Hotel and G up for the Galway Races’.
Over the coming weeks, Imelda and her team will be looking for donations of dresses, hats, handbags, accessories, jewellery, and head pieces of all styles, so they can sell them for the charities at her style event.
They will also be looking for some raffle and spot prizes for the event. If anyone is in the postion to donate, Finnegan and her team are more than happy to collect. There will be a special best dressed woman’s prize on the day to keep with the Galway Races theme, along with many raffle and spot prizes.
Entry to the event is €10 and tickets are available by calling Imelda Finnegan on 086 8057234, or Ronan Scully on 087 6189094. Alternatively, people can email [email protected] or atronan.scully@selfhelpafrica Tickets can also be purchased at the venue on the day in question.
People who would like to donate stock to be sold at the event can also contact Finnegan or Scully on the above details. See www.selfhelpafrica.org for further details.
Finnegan is always a busy woman, but this year is more exceptional than normal. This September 11 she is also going to climb Carrountouhill in Kerry with many of the legends of Irish Rugby, in an event called “The Caps to the Summit.” For more information visit www.capstothesummit.com/
