KARMA PARKING play reggae, rock, and funk, and sometimes a fusion of all three, all with the aim of getting people dancing, as is the plan when they take to the stage of Monroe's Live on Thursday July 30.
The band - Julien Fiasson (vocals/guitar ), Ed Forde (bass ), Damien Bartle (guitar/vocals ), Jono Skinner (drums ), Jabin Ward (sax ) - cite Bob Marley, Taj Mahal, Gogol Bordello, Seasick Steve, Jimmy Cliff, Dr Feelgood, The Beat, and even comedy series The Mighty Boosh as inspirations. They have albums and singles available for download, including the Boogaloo album, recorded by Grammy nominated producer Jim Salamone at Cambridge Sound Studios, Philadelphia.
Karma Parking have also played the Valentia Island festival, Tramore Ska festival, Dublin Soul Festival, The Dream Gathering, and Electric Picnic.
Doors are at 9pm and admission is free.
