Music concerts on Inishbofin

MARY COUGHLAN, Luka Bloom, and Liam Ó Maonlaí are among the singers and musicians who will take to the stage of the Dolphin Hotel over the coming weeks as part of the annual Inishbofin Concerts series.

The series begins with Eleanor Shanley on July 21, who is both popular and much admired for her solo work, her time in De Dannan, and for her collaboration with the late Ronnie Drew.

Liam Ó Maonlaí, former lead singer with iconic band The Hothouse Flowers, will play on July 28. Ireland's greatest jazz singer Mary Coughlan is on August 4.

The next three concerts feature three celebrated and distinctive Irish singer-songwriters. Mick Flannery will make his Inishbofin Concerts debut on August 11; Luka Bloom, described as having "a poet’s heart and a rockster’s soul", plays on August 18; while Declan O'Rourke, who can count Paul Weller, Eddie Reader, and Josh Groban among his admirers, plays on August 25.
