Everyman live from London to The Eye

12 Years A Slave's Chiwetel Ejiofor in title role

THE BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, best known for this role in 12 Years A Slave, will star in one of English drama’s oldest plays - Everyman.

Everyman, a morality play written during the Tudor period, has been given a striking modern adaptation by British Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, with choreography by Javier De Frutos, and direction by Rufus Norris. It will be staged in London's National Theatre and will be broadcast live to The Eye Cinema, Wellpark, this Thursday [July 16] at 7pm.

Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Everyman, a successful, popular individual, who is riding high when Death comes calling. He is forced to abandon the life he has built and embark on a last, frantic search to recruit a friend, anyone, to speak in his defence. But Death is close behind, and time is running out.
