Corofin to celebrate the best of country living

The Corofin Country Living and Food Fair takes place in the village next week, with proceeds from the event going to local charity Act for Meningitis.

The highlight of the fair, which takes place on Sunday July 19, will be the Irish Homemade Brown Bread Championship, with all entrants welcome to vie for the title of best brown bread.

The fair will take place beside Dr Duggan Hall from 11.30am to 5.30pm, starting with a tractor through the village.

Throughout the day there will be exhibitions of livestock, cars, and machinery, trade stands model farms, a dunk tank, mini digger skills, amusements for the children, a bonny baby show, and a dog show. Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann will also present an Irish dancing showcase at the event.
