The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the classic 1975 screen adaptation of Richard O'Brien's glam rock musical, starring Tim Rice, Susan Sarandon, Meatloaf, and O'Brien himself, and featuring such legendary songs as 'Time Warp' and 'Sweet Transvestite', will be screened at a special fundraising and fancy dress event at The Loft at Seven on Thursday July 16 at 8pm.
You may also need to practice "doing the time warp" so to help here is the cast of the 1975 film to show you how:
Those coming to the screening are encouraged to don heels, stockings, bright red lipstick, sort whatever kind of costume takes your fancy, and to be flamboyant. There will be prizes for best costumes and dresses, as well as a raffle. The night will also be MCed by Ricky Roulette (aka actor/singer/DJ Patrick Fagan ). He has performed in the Spiegetent and the Tassel Club, and in the critically acclaimed Silver Stars, as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival. He is a former Alternative Miss Ireland.
Admission is €5. The event is being organised by Galway Pride and is a Pride fundraiser.
