KINVARA WILL host the town’s inaugural Midsummer Bash, a day of music and entertainment at Kinvara Community Centre on Saturday July 11 with Tony Trundle & Band and What The Funk.
Tony Trundle is a singer/fiddler, renowned for his smooth fiddle style which mixes Irish trad, country, and rock’n’roll. He grew up in Newry and lived in Manchester until 2007, and now lives in Kinvara. He describes his songs as “snapshots of characters and situations, kind of short stories”. He will be joined by Frank Kilkelly (guitar ), Paul Johnson (double bass ), and Bruno Staehelin (drums ).
What The Funk are a trio determined to keep audiences dancing with their mix of funk music from across the eras. Special guests will join the trio for the show.
This is a BYOB event. It is organised by All About Music Productions. Advance tickets are available at €12 from the Strawberry Hedgehog Café, Kinvara, and the Gallery Café, Gort. Tickets on the door are €15.
