THE MORNINGTON Singers, the award winning, 35-member choir from Dublin, will be in concert in St Nicholas' Collegiate Church on Saturday June 20 at 8pm.
The choir, under conductor Orla Flanagan, will sing works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Holst, Byrd, Lotti, Pawel Lucaszewski, Thierry Machuel, Mark Armstrong, Seán Doherty, and John Buckley.
The choir has members from Ireland, Britain, Germany, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Australia, and the USA. It won the Grand Prix at the 2009 Sligo International Choral Festival, first Prize in the National Competitions for Chamber Choirs and Mixed Voice Choirs at the 2004 and 2005 Cork International Choral Festival, and first prize in Lyric FM's 2008 Choirs for Christmas competition.
