TOMMY TIERNAN, My Fellow Sponges, and Little John Nee will be among the performers at a fundraising cabaret for the charity Clowns Without Borders.
The show, which takes place on Friday June 26 at 8.30pm, will see Tommy Tiernan improvising with My Fellow Sponges; Little John Nee taking to the mic alongside the ska band Big Jelly; and puppeteer Tommy Baker joining the mediterranean trio Troubador Mules.
Clowns Without Borders Ireland, a group of professional street and circus artists, perform for children and their communities who are in crisis in Ireland and around the world. They provide emotional relief for children suffering trauma in areas hit by conflict, natural disaster, and disease.
Four Galway clowns recently returned from performing to more than 6,300 Congolese refugees in Rwanda in collaboration with the United Nations. The clowns are currently planning a fourth tour to Syrian refugee camps in Jordan after three successful projects there in the last two years.
