Delphi Adventure Resort & Spa is celebrating the launch of The Chef’s Table, a concept restaurant created by newly appointed and award winning executive head chef, Stefan Matz.
The new 34-seater restaurant brings a completely new dining experience not only to Delphi Adventure Resort but to Leenane and the greater Connemara area. The restaurant has already generated huge hype in the media and received great reviews from diners, including celebrities Jon Bernthal, Tom Holland, John Lynch, and Hugh O'Connor, who have already dined in the restaurant on several occasions.
All the tables in the restaurant surround an open kitchen, creating a theatrical atmosphere and culinary showcase for diners. The highly acclaimed chef will front the restaurant and has developed exquisite à la carte and tasting menus that celebrate the best of local produce and ingredients.
Seafood is from along the wild Connemara shores, with mussels caught fresh in Killary Fjord. The organically farmed lamb and beef comes from the hills surrounding Delphi, while local growers and suppliers provide the restaurant with bountiful produce. The menu draws its inspiration from the local land and sea. It features a tempting range of refined meat, fish, poultry, and vegetarian options; each has its own complex array of inventive flavours and textures, paired with a carefully curated wine selection to complement particular dishes.
Commenting on the launch, executive head chef Stefan Matz said: “Delphi Adventure Resort & Spa, as a location for the new restaurant is second to none with stunning mountainous views of the natural surroundings and rugged landscape. The resort is a celebration of Ireland’s finest beauty where the outdoors, along with good quality food and enjoyment, are all central to the guest experience. I am looking forward to working with local farmers and suppliers to weave their produce throughout our menus and to lead Delphi on the path to becoming a top gourmet destination in the west of Ireland.”
Experience this delectable new dining experience for yourself and savour a three course à la carte menu from €46 per person, or indulge in a five course tasting menu from €49, and pair with accompanying wines for an additional €39. The restaurant also hosts a Sunday lunch tasting experience where you can dine early from 2pm to 7pm and enjoy a four course taster menu for €39, which is a set to be a popular alternative to the traditional Sunday lunch.
