MARY COUGHLAN, one of Ireland's greatest jazz vocalists has just released her new album, Scars On The Calendar, with guitarist Erik Visser, and will be in concert at the Town Hall Theatre on Sunday June 13 at 8pm.
Mary Coughlan and Erik Visser have enjoyed a long musical collaboration, starting with the Galwaywoman's platinum debut album Tired and Emotional (1985 ). That partnership has continued through eight further albums, as well as Scars On The Calendar. Mary's first album of new material since 2008’s The House of Ill Repute, it features new compositions from Mary, Visser, and Antoinette Hensey, plus two tracks written by Fairground Attraction's Mark Nevin, who previously composed ‘Like A Leaf From A Tree” for Mary.
