The Connacht Property Auction is now taking entries for its next public auction which will be held on June 25 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. The auction group has held two extremely successful auctions in February and April with an average 90 per cent success rate.
Twenty three properties sold in the April auction, and all five counties in Connacht were represented along with properties in Clare. Six Galway properties were successfully sold along with eight properties in Mayo, five properties in Roscommon, one property in each of Sligo and Leitrim, and two properties in Clare. With properties spread across the province and further, the auction team noted there was significant interest in the lead up to the auction.
Another significant development was the increased interest from Irish people based in the UK looking to buy in Ireland. “With the strength of the sterling at present, we have seen a noticeable uplift in enquiries from the UK," said Patrick Folan of The Connacht Property Auction. "We advertise heavily in both Ireland and the UK and we are finding more and more UK based buyers are looking to purchase with us."
The Connacht Property Auction is now inviting property owners who are looking to sell their property without any upfront costs to contact the auction team. Before any property goes to the market, the auction team will agree a minimum reserve figure, giving the owner total control over the minimum walkaway figure. Bidding can also continue past the reserve price until the highest bidder has secured the property. "Through working with our partner agents and the extensive marketing campaign we undertake locally, nationally, and internationally, we are agreeing successful sales for the vast majority of properties on offer," Mr Folan added. "Our auctions this year are proving we are continuing to find buyers for the vast majority of our sales."
The Connacht Property Auction is currently working with more than 40 established auctioneers, which provides a strong local effort along with the wider reach of the auction company. The company is currently working with auctioneers such as Property Partners Long Tuam, Maureen McKeown (Salthill ), Matt O'Sullivan (Clifden ), Spencer auctioneers (Oughterard ), DNG Lyons Bracken (Athenry ), Michael Ryder (Tuam ), Keane Mahony Smith (Galway ), Gerry Mullins (Headford ), Paddy Keane (Ballinasloe ), and Keary auctioneers (Loughrea ).
