Young Wonder - new album and Róisín Dubh show

YOUNG WONDER, the electro/indie-pop duo of producer Ian Ring and vocalist Rachel Koeman released their debut album Birth this month and they play the Róisín Dubh on Friday May 29 at 9pm.

Birth is an assured, beguiling, often wonderful album, featuring 12 tracks, including a re-recorded version of the 2012 single ‘To You’, the more recent ‘Enchanted’, and the current single ‘Sweet Dreaming’. It also features guest appearances from Sacred Animals and rapper/producer Marce Reazon, as well as a song as Gaeilge, 'Táim Tuirseach'.

The duo have enjoyed much critical acclaim since they emerged in 2012. The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, and Clash have all praised their music, while Pitchfork said of them, "there's a beating heart in those electronics". ‘To You’ topped the Hype Machine charts and received a Single of the Week nomination from BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart.

Birth was recorded over the last 18 months in Cork. It is released through Feel Good Lost as a download and on limited, 300-only, white 12” vinyl, mastered and cut by Matt Colton.

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
