There are fears that an English man, who is wanted by police following the rape of a 13-year-old girl, could be hiding in the west of Ireland after he was spotted in Sligo in recent weeks.
Gardai are appealing to people to be on the lookout for teenager Ryan Humpage, who is on the run, after breaching his bail conditions.
The 18-year-old is wanted by police in England and the PSNI in the North, in connection with rape, theft, and assault allegations.
Gardaí established that Mr Humpage travelled to Ireland although it is not yet known how he made his way across the water. Gardai believe he was in Kildare last week and it is also believed that he was previously in County Sligo and may be using various aliases, which include Dylan Dunne, Ryan Willington, Ryan Williams and Karl Ward.
Gardai have warned members of the public that he is dangerous and should not be approached under any circumstances.
Mr Humpage is described as 5ft 7ins tall with short brown hair and of medium build.
Gardaí are appealing to any body who thinks they may have seen Ryan Humpage or a person of his description to immediately contact any Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
