On Wednesday next, May 6, Galway Golf Club will host a Tea Day for Western Alzheimer’s. This is a new venture for the golf club and it is hoped it will raise much needed funds for the charity.
Western Alzheimer’s provides a complete service to off care to families affected by Alzheimer’s disease in the western region.
Supporting hundreds of families with a home from home philosophy, their service includes in home support – where care assistance spend time with the person suffering from alysmers desease in their own home to cook a favourite lunch, play cards, say prayers or simply lend a fresh ear to stories from a bygone day.
They also supply day care in St Frances Home, Galway, Maryfield, Athenry and Marian House, Ballindine.
All funds raised from the Tea Day will help Western Alzheimer’s to provide the above essential services which will ensure that people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease are cared for in a safe and comfortable environment and will assist families to look after their loved ones at home for as long as possible.
A superdraw will take place during the Tea Day when Mayor Donal Lyons will be there to draw the winning tickets. Your support will be greatly valued by all who are working who on behalf of those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease.
