Galway gymnasts representing Ireland at the Celtic Cup were on the medal podium last weekend.
Kate Molloy, Aisling Fuller, Jane Heffernan and Emma Slevin were part of the Irish minors who took bronze at the competition which boasted teams from Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, while Sarah Hynes and Emer Shimizu were also bronze medal winners on the Irish junior team.
The minor group achieved PBs across the board on various events, exceeding all previous Irish teams and improving the overall team score by a massive 12 marks, while the juniors increased their team score by nine full marks.
The Galway girls’ next challenge is the International Flanders Team Challenge over the weekend of May 31 in Ghent, Belgium.
