Jokes at the ready - it’s the Stand-up Show Down

SIXTEEN LOCAL comedians will take part in The Stand-up Show Down event in the Róisín Dubh on Saturday January 31 at 9pm.

The object is that the comedian who survives elimination and continues to make the audience laugh, will emerge the overall winner. Those taking part are:

Giles Brody (Galway ), Niamh Marron (Monaghan ), Damon Blake (Australia ), Neil Hickey (Dublin ), Padraig Fox (Carlow ), George Fox (Dublin ), Ed Sammon (Offaly ), Sean Sheridan (Mayo ), John Donnellan, (Galway ), Emmet O’Malley (Galway ), Dawn McDonough (Cork ), Paddy O’Shea (Cork ), Barry Mack (Monaghan ), James Marsh (Kildare ), Petra Comiskey (Dublin ), and Dan O’Shea (Kildare ).

The show will be broken up into four rounds. In round one, the comedians are drawn together in pairs and have two minutes to impress before the audience decides which one of the pair can proceed to round two.

The process is repeated until the final round where the final two comedians have five minutes each to claim the title of Enable Ireland Stand-up Show Down Champion.

Admission is €10. All proceeds from the night will go towards Enable Ireland.
