The 2015 Galway Rose selection will take place on Saturday at sponsor hotel, the Clayton Hotel.
This year’s Galway Rose was open to young women aged between 18 and 27 years, and with no heats involved in the selection, meaning everyone will be involved right up to the end.
Curent 2014 Galway Rose, Nicola Corcoran, says her experience over the past year has been unforgettable. "The people I have met, the causes I have helped, and the friends I have made, have made this the most rewarding experience you can imagine and I would encourage any girl to get involved.”
The lucky winner, who will be chosen to represent the county of Galway for 2015 on Saturday night, will attend an all-expenses paid week at the Rose of Tralee International Festival. She will also receive various prizes sponsored by many businesses both in Galway and beyond.
Prior to the competition, the roses were last weekend treated to an action packed weekend of fun and activities. On Friday, the roses and escorts were guests at The Galway Greyhound Stadium while on Saturday, they enjoyed a whistle stop tour of Galway City and County.
The 2015 Galway Rose selection will take place at the Clayton at 7.30pm. Tickets cost €25 per person and can be purchased directly at the Clayton Hotel or by contacting the Galway Rose Centre on [email protected].
The Galway Rose Centre is extending an invite to all roses and escorts from previous years to come along to the selection night on Saturday evening. They are asked to contact the centre on 087-147 4100 or email [email protected] to reserve a seat on the night.
