Galway Social Club is holding a night of dinner and dancing at the Salthill Hotel on April 25 in aid of Pieta House.
The evening will begin with a champagne and canapé reception at 7pm, followed by a four-course dinner and complimentary wine. Entertainment will be provided by Champagne Shuffle and a DJ will follow.
Profits from the event will be donated to Pieta House, the charity that provides support to those who are suicidal and in danger of self harm.
The night is being held to celebrate the club’s membership growth which has now exceeded 1000 members. The club was set up in 2011 by Galway woman Geraldine Curran, who saw a demand for meet-up group in Galway. Such groups were first established in New York 10 years ago as a way for individuals to meet others and make new friends, and the popularity has since spread worldwide.
Members enjoy a variety of events every week that include sports, dinners, nights out, attending the cinema, hiking etc.
