Women's rugby star is new Dacia ambassador

Fiona Coghlan, the woman that led the Irish Women’s Rugby team to an historic Women’s Grand Slam in 2013 has been unveiled as the first brand ambassador for Dacia, Ireland’s fastest growing car brand.

The IRFU has also announced that it is bidding for the 2017 Women's World Cup and Fiona will play an important ambassador role on helping to bring the tournament to Ireland.

“Winning the Six-Nations Championship is a fantastic vote of confidence for women’s rugby in Ireland and abroad. It is a very exciting time to showcase Ireland on the World stage. I have no doubt that the Irish public would embrace this event and show that we can successfully host these major tournaments”

The influential player who was also at the helm of the women’s team when they sealed the historic victory over New Zealand during the 2014 World Cup was on winning form as always and enjoyed a kick around with Dacia Country Operations Manager, Paddy Magee and Dacia Marketing Manager, Lynne Boucher.

Aside from her rugby accolades, the maths and PE teacher from Clontarf is the perfect fit for the brand which encourages potential buyers to ‘Do the Maths’ to see how shockingly affordable their new car can be!

Dacia, Ireland’s fastest growing car brand, which will celebrate its third birthday this summer, has taken the Irish motor market by storm. With well over 5,000 Dacias sold to date the brand is going from strength to strength.

The Dacia Duster which has been given a facelift for 2015 is the perfect car for the former Ireland Captain who travels around the country a lot for work and rugby duties.
