THE ARTS Corridor at University Hospital Galway is currently full of Back Alleys, giving glimpses into childhood freedoms and childhood environments that are rapidly disappearing.
Back Alleys is the title of a new exhibition of Longford artist Amanda Jane Graham, which runs until April 17. The title of this show, featuring collage, drawing, and fine print, according to the artist, “directs the viewer into the work and gives an honest and frank insight into the train of thought at the time of creating it.”
She adds that the works are “mischievous, nostalgic and thought provoking...encouraging the viewer to recall their own childhood games and hideouts.”
Amanda will visit the UHG Arts Corridor on Wednesday April 8 at 1pm to give a public talk about the exhibition.
