Galway remain unbeaten in the Irish Daily Star National League after three games, ensuring Tony Ward’s team is on target to make the knock-out stages.
Their latest win came in Birr on Sunday when they overcame Offaly by 1-13 to 3-5.
In a tight game, Ailish O’Reilly scored a goal and five points from play for Galway who were forced to come from behind to snatch their second victory in group one.
Although Offaly struck for a goal, points from Ann Marie Starr and O’Reilly made it 1-5 to 1-3 at half time.
Niamh McGrath stretched Galway’s lead with two frees, but Offaly pounced for two goals to take a 3-3 to 1-8 lead after 40 minutes,
With five minutes to go McGrath hit the equaliser, and Galway sealed the win with a Niamh Kilkenny long-range point and Jessie Gill completed the scoring.
