Galwegians will be treated to a festival of basketball this weekend when NUIG Kingfisher hosts the National League finals.
Sixteen teams from all four provinces will fight it out for the seven remaining trophies in the 2014/2015 season.
The National League finals get underway on Saturday with the women’s Premier League final topping the bill, and conclude with the Champions Trophy showpiece on Sunday afternoon. Galway will be represented by Moycullen BC who will contest the Women’s u-18 Shield on Sunday morning.
“It’s the first time that Galway has had a chance to host this kind of event,” says Moycullen manager Catriona Davoren. “Moycullen are great for supporting our teams, especially at home, and I’d hope the wider sporting public will come along and enjoy the games over the weekend. For our own girls it’s a great opportunity to see quality players.”
