Frogbelly and Symphony - psych, folk, and prog

MUSIC, THEATRE, and a high level of experimentation will combine when Brooklyn’s Frogbelly and Symphony play Monroe’s BackStage Bar on Thursday April 16 at 10pm.

The band - Tom Hanley (vocals, bass ), Liz Hanley (vocals, keys, violin ), Ben Trott (guitar ), Ray Rizzo/Ally Fraser (drums ) - are academically trained in traditional instruments, and are constantly experimenting with production techniques.

Their sound mixes progressive rock, folk, urban poetry, pop melodies, repetitive chants, and experimental segues. Their live shows also incorporate theatrical elements, involving the audience in pieces of improvised performance. The band will play material from their new album Blue Bright Ow Sleep.
