THE THRILLING All Tvvins, who combine electro-pop rhythms with exciting metal/math-rock guitar, play the Róisín Dubh this Saturday at 9pm.
The band, featuring The Cast Of Cheers’ songwriter/guitarist Conor Adams and guitar/effects wizard Lar Kaye, formerly of Adebisi Shank and No Spill Blood, recently released their debut single ‘Thank You’, the video for which was premiered by the NME.
Adams and Kay are not afraid to let rip on guitar as they did in their previous bands, but for All Tvvins, they also inhect a wide variety of influences into their songwriting. “There are so many influences,” Conor Adams told the NME. “Peter Gabriel, Queen, The Police - all that 80s and 90s music is massive. I’ve been listening to Wild Beasts, Caribou...then I went through a phase of Pearl Jam.”
On stage the band are arguably one of the most exciting new Irish acts around. They are also currently recording their debut album and have already supported Arcade Fire and the Pixies and been playlisted on XFM.
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
