The new Touran, the latest of the seven-seat Golf-based people mover from Volkswagen, was unveiled at Geneva Show last weekend.
Another people mover, the updated Sharan MPV, was also there, offering maximum levels of connectivity for passengers using App Connect, not to mention 15 per cent improved fuel economy.
And the new Passat Alltrack - a rugged, high-riding version of the Passat - joined the rest of the range in Geneva.
Volkswagen also presented a concept of its next-generation Passat CC model, based on the new Passat saloon, which was announced in Geneva as the 2015 European Car of the Year.
New Caddy Maxi - the practical people mover
Last, but not least, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles presented the latest generation long wheel base version of the Caddy Maxi.
More than 1.5 million of the award-winning previous generation were sold worldwide during its 11 years in production. Around a third of these were Caddy Maxi Life passenger carriers. The fourth generation Caddy Maxi Life aims to continue this success, boasting a 32cm longer wheel base than its standard wheel base sibling.
The Caddy Maxi Life features two rows of seats in the passenger compartment and offers a cargo volume of 530 litres.
The backrest of the third row bench seat folds down and the second row bench seat also folds forward. This seat folding process quickly expands the cargo volume. If necessary, both rows of seats can be removed entirely. This creates additional cargo space with just a few simple movements.
When the third row seat is removed, storage volume is extended to 1,350 litres, and when the second seat row is also removed it is increased to 3,700 litres.
