BMW 1 Series gets facelift

BMW's face-lifted 1 Series was given its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show last week.

A new nose and tail treatment, plus mechanical and equipment upgrades, should keep it competitive in one of the market's toughest segments.

Nearly two million 1 Series models have been sold since its first introduction a decade ago.

This latest incarnation builds on the winning formula of these three and five-door predecessors with new power units from the latest BMW engine family, additional Efficient Dynamics technologies fitted as standard, and careful enhancements to the exterior and interior design.

The level of standard equipment is now even higher, new options have been added, and with new mobility services from BMW ConnectedDrive, there are even more ways to increase the functionality and personalisation of the new 1 Series.

BMW also unveiled an impressive 'M' version of the new BMW 1 Series.

Geneva saw the launch of the seven-seater version of the impressive new 2 Series Active Tourer MPV, continuing BMW's move into small front-wheel-drive vehicles.
