Galway businessman, Pat McDonagh has bought the Charleville Park Hotel in Cork.
The move by the Supermac’s boss to purchase the hotel, which has 100 staff, brongs to three the number of hotels the company owns.
He plans to spend more than €1m upgrading the hotel which is based on the Cork-Limerick border.
This latest hotel purchase, adds to the Pat and Una McDonagh’s hotel portfolio, which includes the Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick and the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa.
