SOME OF the most exciting emerging DJs on the Irish and British drum’n’bass and techno scenes are in Galway this Saturday to play Puzzle at Kelly’s.
Briton Joe Ford is at the head of a new wave of drum’n’bass producers. His set mixes hi-tech d’n’b with rock and funk. He scored a Beatport Dubstep Chart No 1 with the Mission EP. He has released ‘Off-Center’ and ‘Knock Down on the respected Shogun label.
Irish DJ Zenji spins melodic dubstep, downtempo, d’n’b, drumstep, and raggatek. His Feline Fallacy EP reached No 15 in the Beatport charts. Valaria, a new name on the scene, will release his debut EP later this year.
Zanmato is Phunty and Zigguratt, who have a knack for bouncing the heaviest d’n’b tracks off each other, making it hard to leave the dancefloor. Sickly Sweet is a member of SUB-X Ireland, Growl Promotions, and FastForwardSpain. DJ Teknonotice plays d’n’b, acid techno, ragga, drumstep, and electroswing.
