Amazing Apples to launch new single in Róisín Dubh

THE AMAZING Apples will launch ‘Lullaby’, the first single from their forthcoming debut album, when they play the Róisín Dubh on Friday March 13 at 9pm.

The nostalgic ‘Lullaby’ has a gentle melody that builds slowly to an energetic finale, and draws on the indie-rock elements of the band’s sound, while the use of mandolin and fiddle highlights their folkier side. The new album will be out later this year. It was recorded in Grouse Lodge with renowned Irish music producer, Joe Chester, who has also worked with The Coronas and Ryan Sheridan.

The Amazing Apples scored an iTunes No 1 last year with ‘Slipping By’. They played to 50,000 people with The Saw Doctors at the 2012 Volvo Ocean Race and headlined the Bier Hall stage at Indiependence 2014. The quintet have also supported Damien Dempsey, Ryan Sheridan, Mundy, Walking on Cars, and Little Green Cars.

Support is from The New Social. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
