AN ILLINOIS student orchestra will be in Galway this Sunday to perform work by Bach, Holst, and Sibelius, in St Nicholas Collegiate Church at 8pm.
The Glenbard West High School Orchestra, from Glen Ellyn, are currently on tour in Ireland. The students come from communities across the city of Chicago. The concert programme are Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 5; Bishop’s ‘Orange Jam’; Fletcher’s ‘Folk Tune and Fiddle Dance’; Holst’s St Paulís Suite, and Sibelius’s Andante Festivo.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
