MICHAEL MURPHY, the former RTÉ newscaster and more recently best-selling author, brings his show, Stories, Poetry, and Dreams, to the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday February 14.
The show is based on Michael’s three books - At Five in the Afternoon, The House of Pure Being, and The Republic of Love - with extracts read by Michael, Eileen Dunne, Emer O’Kelly, and Eamonn Lawlor, with MC Ciana Campbell, sharing reflections on love, sex, friendship, and family, and how dreams, hope, and love can clear a pathway through the gravest of difficulties. Stories, Poetry and Dreams has also been described as “an opera”, as it celebrates the music of the human voice.
Michael Murphy is a broadcaster, psychoanalyst, and author, well known from his appearances on radio and television, such as his psychoanalytic residency on RTÉ television’s Today Show.
