Galway’s first Swap in the City will take place on Thursday January 29 at 7.30pm in the Radisson SAS Hotel.
Swapping is a guilt free, ethical, and stylish way to update your wardrobe as it enables you to swap any unwanted or unworn items of clothes, shoes, bags, or accessories for something else — free! It is the perfect way to use a outfit for a wedding or party which you will never wear again, to update your look without spending a fortune, or to swap impulse purchases bought in the sales. It is really easy — just bring along an outfit or two on the night and swap them for something else — clothes can be swapped for clothes, shoes, bags or accessories, or whatever catches your eye!
In addition to the swap element, both Maureen O’Halloran and Galway Advertiser stylist Delila will be there on the night giving advice on how to look good on a budget. There will also be a host of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle suppliers and retailers who will be offering fashion- but pocket-conscious shopper some ideas of how to look amazing in 2009.
The night is in aid of Galway Simon Community. Tickets cost €10 and are available from www.galwaysimon.ie or by phoning Kerry or Barry at Galway Simon (091 ) 589415. Tickets purchased before the event will be entered into a draw for a free makeover on the night by Maureen and Delila.
