Boicíní Bhóthar Kilburn returns to An Taibhdhearc

DUE TO popular demand, Aisteoirí an Spidéil’s production of Boicíní Bhóthar Kilburn, which has played to full houses in An Taibhdhearc, returns for performances throughout the city and county.

The play, based on Tom Collins’ acclaimed 2007 film Kings, will be staged in An Taibhdhearc on Sunday January 25, in Cill Chiaráin on Saturday 31, and in Seanscoil Sailearna, Indreabhán, on February 7.

Boicíní Bhóthar Kilburn is a hard-hitting tale about five Connemara men who emigrate to London in the seventies, all planning to return home with their fortunes. At the funeral of one of the gang, the remaining friends face home truths and harsh realities during an afternoon of heavy drinking.
