Workshop on how to handle difficult situations

A series of workshops, being organised by a city based family group, aim to help people handle difficult situations and enhance their communication and interaction skills.

The events, which are open to everyone, begin with a workshop on grief and loss on Saturday (January 24 ) from 9.30am to 4pm at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Newtownsmith. It will be given by Grainne O’Connell, a psychotherapist.

Workshops on music and art therapy will take place on Saturday February 21 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm respectively. These will be given by John Garvey and Ann Marie Collins.

A dream workshop with Olivia Russell will be held on Saturday March 7 from 9.30am to 4pm. Admission is €25 per workshop or €50 for all four. The events are suitable for all.

They are being organised by Pernet Lay Associates Networking Together (PLANT ), a lay organisation which is the brainchild of Sr Imelda O’Sullivan of Galway’s Little Sisters of the Assumption. Its aim is to empower and support people in the community.
