Learn how to be healthy at free city seminar

People can learn more about becoming healty and staying that way at a free seminar being held at the Menlo Park Hotel this evening (Thursday ) at 6.30pm.

The On The Road Again (OTRA ) personal development programme is designed to improve physical wellbeing and mental health and empower members to take control of their own lives for the better.

“At this time of the year when everyone is trying one resolution or another, we want them to consider the many benefits of OTRA. We can show them how to not only get healthy, but stay healthy,” says programme director Paul Fallon.

“By health, we do of course mean complete health, physical, mental and social, as defined by the World Health Organisation.”

“We will have talks at the seminar by myself, a discussion on the research conducted by NUI Galway, a talk by a GP on why he refers people to OTRA, testimonials by our members, a brief talk by one of our team leaders, and also a talk by Richard Hughes on why his family got behind OTRA and raised over €50,000 in last year’s Dublin marathon.”

He outlines that the personal development programme caters for the needs of people, at their level.

“We have small group sizes and adhere to the WHO definition of health - physical, mental and social.”

A new programme begins on Monday February 2. The event is open to all, he says. “This is an opportunity for people to take control of their own lives in a fun, low stress environment.”
