The trio of Saoirse Duane, Caoimhe Barry, and Karen Cowley are coming to Galway, where they will play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday February 7 at 8pm as part of their Letters Tour. Since the release of their The Widow Knows EP in August, the band have been enjoying increasing notice from the public and acclaim from the critics.
Folk influenced vocal harmonies dominate their songs, under-pinned by tasteful acoustic guitar work, and atmospheric arrangements, with a tasteful touch of 1970s prog-rock - best heard on the epic ‘Fairytale’ and the inspired ‘Snow’ from the EP. ‘Snow’, released as a single late last year with an accompanying animated video created by Caoimhe Barry:
