Acorns 2 Oaks Play Therapy has announced that it will bring two new courses to Galway this year in association with The Children’s Therapy Centre.
Therapeutic play skills is a FETAC Level 6 minor award, offered on a part time, blended learning, basis which will equip learners with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competence to plan, deliver, and evaluate both group and individual play based interventions. Participants will engage in creative activities that will enhance personal development, develop insight and awareness, and contribute to understanding, and meeting, the needs of all children including those living in adverse circumstances. Directive and non-directive therapeutic approaches will be addressed.
This course will run on a series of Saturdays (10.30am to 5.30pm ) and Wednesday evenings (7pm to 9pm ) from January 21 to March 28.
Creative studies for special needs is a FETAC Level 6 minor award offered on a part time, blended learning, basis which will equip learners with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competence to utilise play and the creative arts to support the development of clients with special educational needs. Participants will engage in a wide range of creative activities that will enhance personal development and build a solid skill base for therapeutic work.
