Ireland West Airport Knock hosted its eighth annual travel trade event to recognise the support and contribution the travel agents in the region provide to the airport.
The event, which was held in the Lodge at Ashford Castle, had a record attendance with 50 of the regions leading travel agents from the West, North West and Midlands regions of Ireland in attendance as well as leading tour operators from around Ireland.
On the evening travel agents used the opportunity to learn of the Airport’s developments and future growth plans as well as networking with other members of the travel trade in Ireland. Highlights of the evening included a presentation by special guest speaker Zara Sheerin, Online Marketing Officer from the National University of Galway who gave a very informative presentation about the impact of digital and social media on business in Ireland and how agents can maximise the potential of the digital world for their businesses.
Ireland West Airport Knock’s Managing Director, Joe Gilmore, thanked the tour operators and travel agents for their continued support for the airport and looked forward to continuing the airports excellent relationship with the agents in 2015.
