THE GALWAY-based poet and short story writer Susan Millar DuMars will teach creative writing classes in both the Galway Arts Centre and the GMIT.
The GMIT class is for beginners in writing fiction and/or poetry. The course takes place on Wednesdays, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, starting on Wednesday February 11. Places cost €120. Students will spend the week responding to writing exercises and receive feedback from their classmates and Susan. Classes takes place on Mondays from 2pm to 3.30pm, starting this Monday. It will run for 10 weeks.

Advance booking is essential for either course as places are limited. Susan’s collection of stories, American Girls, was published by Lapwing Press in 2007. Her poetry book, Big Pink Umbrella, was published last year by Salmon Poetry.
