Connemara fashion designer Patricia O’Toole has created a unique clothing line designed to make women look slimmer instantly.
The secret is in the inbuilt comfortable shape wear attached to each garment creating smooth lines and a slimmer silhouette. Add in classically cut designs in jersey or wool mix fabrics and the result is a must have collection designed to flatter the female shape and solve wardrobe problems for women.
Entitled “Beautiful You”, Ms O’Toole’s inaugural collection features six classic dress designs, two tops, a ruched skirt and palazzo pants.
Wrap dresses and tops help conceal a less than perfect tummy; dresses gently ruched at the midriff create a flattering waist line while the ruched skirt elongates the figure distracting attention away from hips.
Leaving nothing to chance, Ms O’Toole has carefully researched the most flattering sleeve lengths for women and all the dresses in her collection feature full length or cleverly cut cap sleeves.
A cornerstone of Ms O’Toole’s collection is the all in one slimming support - the inbuilt shape wear is attached below the bust line in the dresses and falls from the waist in the skirt. Palazzo pants features shape wear cleverly disguised as boxer shorts giving a smoother shape to the lower silhouette. Patricia O’Toole’s capsule first collection comes in a variety of this season’s colours – from classic black to burnt orange- designed to take a busy working woman from day to night, from casual chic to the most formal of occasions.
Ms O’ Toole emigrated to the US in the mid 90s where she worked as former public affairs manager for a US cable tv network. Returning home to Clifden to raise her family five years ago, she came up with the idea for a clothing line, dedicated to classic designs that would flatter a woman’s natural shape.
“I wanted to create a fashion space for all women that would help them embrace their natural shape and make it easier to find classic pieces that endure season to season”, says Patricia.
The result is her first collection of flattering pieces that minimize problem areas because of the design, the fabric and the inbuilt comfortable support.
