Galway Baroque Singers travel to Tuam on Sunday December 21 where they will present a concert of seasonal music in the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The programme will consist of the Christmas choruses from Handel’s Messiah, excerpts from Mendelssohn’s Elijah which the choir recently performed in the National Concert Hall in Dublin together with carols, and also some new and some familiar favourites.
The choir has been rehearsing for the last few weeks under director Audrey Corbett. As it is quite a number of years since they last performed in Tuam, the singers are looking forward to presenting their latest choral offering to their friends and supporters in Tuam and surrounding areas.
They are very pleased to be accompanied on this occasion by organist Mark Keane who will be well known to the audience, as he is the resident organist in the Cathedral in Tuam.
The concert begins at 8.30 pm. Tickets €10 on sale at the door or from choir members.
