Clonbur fall at last hurdle

The Clonbur ladies footballers were just not strong enough for an impressive Kerry outfit last weekend in the All-Ireland Intermediate final played at Corofin (Clare ).

With just a few minutes to go, An Fhairche had fought back to within three points of the Munster champions, 1-8 to 1-5.

However a late flurry of scores for the Kerry women stretched their lead to Clonbur 1-06 and Castleisland Desmonds 2-11 - a harsh scoreline considering how tight the game was until deep into the final minutes.
