The Galway county senior hurling championship continues this Sunday in Kenny Park, Athenry, at 2pm with the meeting of south Galway neighbours Beagh and Gort in the county semi-final.
The winners this weekend are due to face All-Ireland club champions Portumna in the county final, which has been fixed for Sunday December 14, again at Kenny Park.
Beagh qualified for this semi-final when they saw off Ardrahan last weekend by 0-13 to 0-9.
It was a dour contest, and the unavailability of Iarla Tannian through injury was a big blow to Ardrahan's chances of progressing.
However, Beagh fully deserved their win and they will have to produce another big display if they are to see off the 2011 county champions on Sunday and qualify for a joust with Portumna.
Mulhollands have the Gort men as 4/9 favourites to advance on Sunday, with Beagh at 2/1.
